Pope Francis says 'all religions are a path to reach God'

Pope Francis said the following while addressing students at the Catholic Junior College of Singapore:

“They are — I make a comparison — like different languages, different idioms, to get there,” he continued. “But God is God for everyone. And since God is God for everyone, we are all children of God. ‘But my God is more important than yours!’ Is this true?”

”There is only one God, and we, our religions are languages, paths to reach God. Some are Sikh, some are Muslim, some are Hindu, some are Christian, but they are different paths.”

The question is, is the Pope correct? More importantly, what does the Word of God say?

First, we will ALL stand before God someday--And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27.

What religion or church affiliation will have NOTHING to do with heaven and hell, or yours or mine eternal destiny--He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 

1 John 5:12

ONLY true Christianity--faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ—leads to God’s forgiveness and eternal life. --Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

By saying "all religions are a path to reach God", no matter who says it, is a false teaching and a perversion of the Gospel.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

There are not many paths to God; only one.
